The Mid-Eastern APWA branch will be hosting their annual golf outing on Monday, August 24 at Sandy Ridge Golf Course in Midland, MI. This outing is extra special this year as it will be the SIXTH ANNUAL LES BLAND MEMORIAL GOLF OUTING for the branch. For those of you that knew Les, I’m sure you will agree that he was PUBLIC WORKS to the core, participating in our branch for longer than we can recall. One of the programs he loved the most was the Michigan Public Service Institute so we will use the proceeds from our outing to send one of our branch members to the Institute each year via a scholarship award.
Vendor support is critical to making our golf outing and new scholarship program a success by allowing us to award prizes to the golfers at the conclusion of the event! A list will be prepared and displayed at the event with the names of all contributors who have donated to our outing. The donations will be used to purchase gift cards for door prizes and to provide cash prizes to our 1st, 3rd, and last place foursomes and add to our scholarship fund.
